The Generator hostel is right in the centre of London. Specifically, it’s in Bloomsbury – a rarefied part of town where the universities, publishing houses, libraries and museums make you feel way smarter than you are. It’s a perfect location for getting around: the trendy East is twenty minutes on the bus and Soho’s a fifteen-minute walk.

But Bloomsbury itself offers more than enough if you can’t be bothered to travel. In fact, the many public squares and parks – Russell, Tavistock, Brunswick – are great place to kill a summer’s afternoon if you literally don’t want to move. Nearby are some restaurants, pubs, and esteemed cultural institutions worth checking out.
